Jasper is an opaque, dense, microgranular variety of chalcedony and other mineral phases. The name jasper means “spotted or speckled stone” and is traceable to many ancient peoples. Often called the “Supreme Nurturer” jasper is a stone which offers, comfort, security, and stability.
