Robert Cross was born to the Eagle Clan of Haida Gwaii. He is part of the famous Cross family, renowned for their artistic works.
Robert is the son of Gordon Cross, whom he learned all aspects of Haida carving, and design. He also learned from his cousin Nelson Cross the skills needed for engraving and metal work.
Since 1983 Robert has been carving and designing his own pieces in both silver and gold. His jewelry shows his talent, skill and the individuality of his style. Robert signs his artwork as B. Cross, as his friends call him Bob.
