Wolf
Wolf is a symbol of loyalty, great strength, determination, and strong family ties. Highly respected, the wolf is seen as having a great likeness to people, as they form family units, hunt in groups, and mate for life. They are considered wise, understanding, and steadfast. Some First Nation groups believe that great hunters are reincarnated as wolves.
Tyrone Joseph
Tyrone Joseph was born in 1951 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is a member of the Coast Salish Tribe of the Squamish Nation, Capilano Reserve. Tyrone is a self-taught accomplished artist whose attention to detail and traditional style are evident in each piece he creates. He uses red and yellow cedar as his medium to carve plaques, drums, paddles, totem poles, masks and sculptures. Tyrone incorporates many family crest symbols into to his works in the hope to protect his cultural history for upcoming generations.
