Ronald E. Wilson
Born in 1945, Ronald E. Wilson (Giitsxaa) is the Chief of Gitkinguaas. He studied at Vancouver School of Art from 1966 to 1969. He spent one and a half year at Thunder Bird Park training in wood carving with Henry Hunt Sr. Giitsxaa sold his first piece of artwork in 1962 and continue to create artworks in gold, silver, argillite, wood, ivory carvings and original paintings. His artwork represents the true value of Haida art and culture.
