These Are The Animals The First People Know by artist Charles Yaklin (Silverfox) of the Tlingit Kwanlin Dun First Nation.

Silverfox grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon with his older brother Mark Preston (Tenne Ta The). Mark introduced him to the technique of pointillism.
Adopted by a German/Irish couple in the ‘60's scoop, Silverfox left home at age 14 and has worked in British Columbia since 1980.

He taught himself to create realistic images and has developed his own First Nation style. He primarily works in pen and ink creating images using hundreds and hundreds of little dots by hand - this art form is known as pointillism. Solid line were added to make this a coloring book.
