Rutilated Quartz

This is a Quartz stone with rutiles of titanium dioxide mineral and iron oxide (sometimes niobium or tantalum) included. When the iron oxide content is high you get needles of gold and red, and when it is lower content then darker colored needle appear. Called Angel’s Hair or Venus Hair, this stone is good for overcoming problems and barriers. It aids transitions, soothing fears and anxiety and encourages forgiveness; letting go of the past.
