Gemstone: Fluorite

Fluorite (also called fluorspar) is the mineral form of calcium fluoride; it belongs to the halide minerals and is dubbed “the most colorful mineral in the world”.

Many fluorite stones exhibit fluorescence under ultraviolet light, a property that it takes its name from. Fluorite is often called the “Genius stone” as it supports mental aptitude; encouraging concentration, discernment and the absorption of new knowledge.
